L'auteur était Recteur du Collège des Jésuites à Québec et Supérieur des Missions de la Compagnie de Jésus en Nouvelle-France et ses textes n'étaient pas destinés au public, très empreints de sincérité et de vérité. Les 33 premières pages traitent de la mission chez les Hurons, suivies de 112 pages sur les missions Iroquoises et de 104 pages quant à celle des Algonquins (Outaouacs). Il s'agit de documents fort détaillés, ne touchant que deux ans, textes d'une grande importance. Bien qu’attribué à Dablon, le texte original était de Jean de Lamberville (1633-1714); Dablon a édité son manuscrit.  Field 397; T.P.L. 70.    450 $
