understand). About a vast area, over the colonizing of which Colonel Thomas Talbot
presided during the first half of the 19th Century, extended from Norfolk and
Oxford counties through Elgin, Middlesex and Kent to Essex County. St. Thomas, in Elgin
County, was the Capital. Scarce
