From the Transactions of the R. S. C. Signed by author. About a struggle at the borders from 1785 to 1842. Some hardy individuals carved a life in the wooded frontier that would come to be known as Indian Stream. In 1832 they declared themselves independent, their territory claimed by Canada and New Hampshire. The squabble ended in 1842, the Republic of Indian Stream went to New Hampshire after nearly bringing war between two Nations.    35 $
