jacket; frontispiece portrait, very beautiful condition. Extremely scarce title; Willard
Magoon (1844-1926) was born and raised in the Township of Bolton, Brome County. He fought
during the Fenian Raids in the 1860s; later he moved to Lyndonville VT where he
became famous as a charismatic and psychic healer. The actual biography is written by his
daughter and comprises 9 articles on various psychic phenomena by Willard Magoon. One of
them is a psychic voyage to Planet Mars; he describes the green landscape (Magoon was
formely Irish name "Mc Gowan"), he probably saw Ireland!! And he also writes
about the highly evolved life of the Martians! Other articles about hypnotism, a legal
system based on psychic powers, an analysis of psychic laws governing criminality and
proposes a legal system based on psychic powers , the Courts of the future..... 285 $

movement to create an independent democracy named Indian Stream; the territory was claimed
by Canada and New Hampshire. The squabble ended in 1842 as the Republic of Indian Stream
went to New Hampshire after nearly bringing Canada and the United States of America to a
war. Laid in are letters from former owner with his handwritten notes from Daniel
Webster on the boundary dispute. Very nice condition.
